Sylvia is a Brooklyn based actress and recent graduate of the Brown/Trinity MFA acting program. She grew up, mostly barefoot, in beautiful Charlottesville Virginia, spending many of her formative years attending a tiny and extraordinary Waldorf school. She has exceptional parents who raised her to be loving, curious, and determined and two brilliant sisters with whom she annually sings a pretty killer version of ‘Silent Night’ in three-part harmony.

After many years in Charlottesville, Sylvia spent 3 amazing years training at the Brown/Trinity MFA program and loving the city of Providence Rhode Island. After graduation she moved to New York City and has been living and acting there since. She is a founding member of The Light Fantastic Theater Company, a group dedicated to bringing theater to non-traditional audiences in homeless shelters, low income senior centers, and prisons. This past winter the group toured a production of The Glass Menagerie, in which Sylvia played Laura. They will begin rehearsing their second show in August.

Aside from acting, Sylvia is particularly fond of making pies, doing yoga, reading poems, eating avocado toast, working with children, petting cats and dogs, Prospect Park, and homemade nut milk.
